A big thanks to and for the information.
Leave your thoughts and opinions in the comments. I personally am not totally pleased with how they look. I don't think there's anything wrong with how they looked before. In fact I'm kind of brokenhearted. Guess I'll have to get over it. After all, it is just a cartoon.
Leave your opinions in the comments below. And remember to be RESPECTFUL of other people's opinions. Whether you agree with them or not.
UPDATE: Joe Spadaford had this to say to our friend about the redesigns. I'll post his quote here so you won't have to keep scrolling down to find it.
" ...trust me... Once you see these guys moving you will wish they had always looked like this. The act is much more like how the old storyboards. all the characters can now fully act. you don't know how much entertainment value you were missing out on just due to the old rigs. Trust me I worked on those shows for 9 years.... I loved those old characters... These characters are a huge leap forward in a good way.
"BTW this is not Dreamworks trying to make them 'their' veggietales. This is the veggietales, the creatives, all wanted to see on screen. all the old 2d boards looked like this basically. the fact that these Riggs were 20 years old was a HUGE problem. 20 years ago 3d show characters did not have to act as well as they do now. If the standard of acting was not raised VT would have looked older and older to the new young audience. remember first and foremost veggietales is for little kids. It has to evolve with the standards even a 3 year old expects or they will quickly fall into the dollar bin. The main thing you should have liked most about veggietales is not gone. The Christian element. That god made you special and loves you very much. If we had lost that aspect of our show then I would really worry. The new veggie show is still very much like old shows at its heart. It's just an update."
"If you look a t a still of Hogarth from the iron giant. Once he moves he it one of the coolest cartoon kids of all time. The only people who can hate this are the people who have not yet seen the animatics or dailies. I have seen those things. the new stuff is better. It just is."

Trailer for The Best Christmas Gift
Last week, I reported on the official release for the first episode of The VeggieTales show being October 22nd and how it was to be a Christmas special. Well, yesterday we got not only the title for said Christmas special (The Best Christmas Gift) but also a trailer providing nearly two minutes of footage!
Here are some highlights in the trailer worth noting:
* The footage makes it more clear than before that while retaining their original designs, the characters have in fact been rebuilt to accommodate with modern CG technology which is most noticeable in the way their mouths move (especially when they're turned 3/4's).
* Madame Blueberry
Release Date for The VeggieTales Show + Extras
I know this is a few weeks old by now and most may have already seen this, but Big Idea has officially announced through their Twitter page the release date for the first episode of The VeggieTales Show to be for October 22nd! https://twitter.com/VeggieTales/status/1157380594982182913
Additionally, recently a YouTuber by the name of The Peach from the IRS has acquired all the Blu-rays for the series that were released in early 2012. As is the usual case with Blu-rays, some of them include additional bonus features not found on the original DVD releases.

First look at The VeggieTales Show!
Minutes ago, I was sent a link by ~veggiefangirl (https://www.deviantart.com/veggiefangirl) of a video giving us our first look at the upcoming The VeggieTales Show!

This video as you'll notice provides more info about what the series is about, a few behind the scenes technicals and even answers a few questions that I'm sure some have been wondering regarding the series. Here are a few of the key highlights I'll note:
* As mentioned before, the characters have returned to their classic pre-Netflix designs. Here, we're allowed to see Bob & Larry in a brief bit of animation at the beginning showing that the characters do appear
What we currently know about The VeggieTales Show
Hello everyone! It's been about two weeks since it was announced that VeggieTales would be returning this fall with a new spinoff tentatively titled The VeggieTales Show on TBN, and this journal is to basically get everyone up to speed with all the info that's been publicly revealed related to the series. With that out of the way, let us begin!
What's been confirmed publicly:
* Phil & Mike are the show's head writers and have been brought back to Big Idea as full-time employees. In the former's case, not only will this be the first time he's been heavily involved with anything in the franchise outside of only providing the voices since Pista

Those redesign looks are okay, but I love the old style like in previous episodes of Veggie Tales which I prefer it.
